Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today visited Kheer Bhawani temple and Dargah Hazratbal shrine and paid his obeisance.He visited temple in Ishber Nishat also and spent some time there in picturesque lawns. He wanted to visit Dargah Makhdoom Sahab and Hari Parbat also but security agencies did not allow. Before that he visited Maisuma in Srinagar which is bastion of separatist leader and JKLF chief Yasin Malik. Rahul Gandhi walked up to a tea vendor on the road side and had tea and snacks there.He tasted famous “Nadir Monji” (lotus stem fry)Rahul Gandhi was on three day visit to J&K. Congress spokesman said that he could not go to Ladakh as scheduled earlier.He will visit again and then go to Ladakh.
Senior congress leader Ambika Soni also accompanied Rahul Gandhi.
