The Deputy Commissioner BandiporaWednesday said the main function of Republic Day Celebrations would be organized at the district headquarters, where chief guest will unfurl National flag and take salute at the March past of the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, IRP, Home Guard, Fire & Emergency and School Children.
In a meeting of officers here today, the DC Bandipora reviewed all arrangements with regard to smooth and peaceful celebration of Republic Day.
It was decided that the function will begin with Shahna-i-Wadhan while as school children and local artists will present cultural programmes. Prizes will also be given to the deserving participants on the occasion.
Full dress rehearsal will be held on 24th of January during which the constituted committee has been asked to select best programmes for the main function.
Seeking cooperation from the officers, the Deputy Commissioner urged them to ensure all possible arrangements to make the function a success. He also directed for celebrating the Republic Day at Tehsil headquarters in the district.
Among others Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Assistant Commissioner Revenue and officers from various departments, besides police, army and security forces were present in the meeting.
