Dr Kaiser Ahmad on Saturday took over as the new Principal Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar. He was appointed on the coveted post as government today accepted the application of Dr Rafiq Pampori for voluntary retirement from his services. Dr Pampori had gone on ‘protest leave’ last week and had applied for voluntarily retirement few days ago. Order for the appointment of new principal was issued by Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education Department, Mandeep Bandari after the concerned minister Choudhary Lal Singh convened a meeting to take final call on the appointment. Dr Kaiser is a well-known pediatrician.
