Exchange of fire between security forces and suspected militants started in Chewa area of Pulwama district after security forces cordoned the area. According to police sources security forces on a specific intelligence input laid a cordon in Chewa village and started search operation. As soon as house to house search operation was going on the militants hiding in the area fired a volley of bullets on security forces who retaliated the fire.
