The Legal Metrology Department Baramulla today imposed a fine of Rs. 25000 on a leading national company, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, for violating the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules 2011.
Pertinently, as per the Legal Metrology Rules, any advertisement mentioning the retail sale price of a packaged commodity shall contain a declaration as to the net quantity or number of packaged commodity contained in the package.
