Late Prem Nath Bazaz’ daughter Turns nostalgic on seeing preserved copies of ‘Hamdard’

Mrs Vijaya Bazaz daughter of noted author and Kashmiri journalist late Prem Nath Bazaz visited the exhibition of rare newspaper archives at the Media Complex here today. She was accompanied by her husband Er Omkar Razdan, who is working with Transparency International, India Chapter.

Mrs Vijaya Bazaz turned nostalgic when she saw the preserved copies of Hamdard Newspaper which was being published from Srinagar by her father late Prem Nath Bazaz in 1930’s.

“I have come all along from New Delhi to see the archived copies of the newspaper which was being edited by my father,” Mrs Vijaya Bazaz said. She expressed gratitude to the Department of Information and Public Relations for having preserved the copies of the newspaper.

The exhibition of rare newspaper archives and photographs was inaugurated by the Minister for Information, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali and Minister for Works, Mr Naeem Akhtar at the Media Complex here yesterday.

The exhibition will remain open for the public till 6 July 2017.
