Minister approves 8.58 Lakh under RKS, handover appointment letters under SRO 43

Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) and Tribal Affairs, Ch Zulfkar Ali today said that the Smart Tribal village project forms an effective beginning towards inclusive development.

Empowering tribal population  through education, modern communication  facilities , provision for  safe drinking water, adequate power supply , best health care services, houses under IAY, better drainage  and sanitation  along with the creation of sustainable  affordable  locally  owned entrepreneurial  business are the objectives set to be achieved by developing  smart tribal village  at Hubbi  and Targain, he said  while finalizing the proposed projects here today.

“I will put every effort required at my level to ensure that the development of smart Tribal villages include all facilities and avenues at par with urban centres so that the migration of the villagers towards cities is stopped”, the Minister said.

 He said the development of the villages would give a new direction to the rural economy and accelerate the overall growth of the state.

“The state economy will progress in leaps and bounds after the creation of these smart  tribal model villages as these are going to prove as most effective tool to set the stage for inclusive development  and bridge urban -rural  gap” he added.

             Detailed deliberations were held on the plans and fund requirements for the proposed projects alongwith. The Minister directed the concerned officers to put in all their efforts to ensure realization of the project on ground before March, 2016.

             Earlier the Minister chaired the meeting of Rogi Kalyan  Samiti  at Rajouri and  reviewed the working of health care  institutions  of Darhal constituency .

  The CMO apprised the Minister about the progress achieved during the current financial year and gave details about the staff position, fund availability and other related issues across Darhal constituency.

            Meanwhile, the Minister as chairman of RKS, approved Rs 1.95 Lakh for CHC Kandi, 2.52 lakh for PHC Budhal, Rs 0 .85 Lakh for PHC Tralla , Rs 1.43 Lakh to PHC Peeri and Rs 1.83 lakh for CHC Darhal for the purchase of emergency  drugs,  lab reagents, CCTV ,furniture, computers and other demands put forth by health authorities. .

          While taking stock of infrastructure  available  in various  health care institutions  in Darhal constituency, the Minister asked the concerned authorities  to evolve  effective  mechanism for streamlining  the hospital  working  and utilization of funds provided under centrally sponsored schemes.

            He also reviewed the action taken on the decisions  in the last meeting  of Rogi Kalyan  Samiti and issued directions to the concerned authorities  to give priority  to quality while executing new infrastructure  in the hospital buildings.

  He also instructed the hospital authorities  to fix priorities  of the works required to be done .He directed the R&B authorities  to prepare  the Cost estimations   for repair and renovation works at different  health care centres.

          The Minister also gave away Appointment letters to 10 beneficiaries under SRO 43 along with cash compensation in lieu of govt job to one of them here at Rajouri.
