Regarding the implementation of National Food Security Act in the district, ACR Anantnag, today chaired a high level meeting here at Dak Bunglow.
The ACR while directing the concerned officers to complete all the formalities in the fixed timeframe said that implementation of the NFSA will not only make available ration as per the 2011 census but will also put an end to all the complaints regarding ration distribution in the district.
The ACR stressed upon the officers of Revenue and CAPD Departments to work in a collaborative manner so that proper identification of the families as per the already formulated guidelines under this Act is achieved before the deadline.
Under NFSA, people will get assured supply of ration right at their doorsteps in a hassle-free manner through Aadhar Card from February 01, next year. Any person who is denied ration shall be given ‘Food Security Allowance’ through an inbuilt mechanism which has been incorporated in the Act at state, district and block-level.
