Police has solved a rape case within a day and all sections of the society have appreciated the role of police force. Giving details of the case, police has issued a statement that on 29th July 2021, Police Station Uri received a written complaint from one Shabir Hussain S/O Noor Haider Shah resident of Madiyan Kamalkote area of Uri stating therein that his minor daughter (name withheld) aged about 13 years was raped by one Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan alias Muna Khan S/O Mohammad Saleem resident of Paranpeelan Uri in forest area after giving life threat to her. On this written complaint, FIR was registered in Police Station Uri under relevant sections of law. Police Station Uri utilizing all technical and human sources and with strenuous efforts traced the accused and arrested him instantly. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
Cloudburst near holy Amarnath cave
There was a cloudburst near holy Amarnath cave today however no loss of life or any kind of damage to holy cave is reported.
Everything in Holy Cave of Baba Amarnath is intact and the cave is safe. SDRF, NDRF, CRPF and Police teams have rushed to the spot. As per govt sources everything is under control. Administration is assessing and monitoring the situation closely
Cloud burst in Kishtwar area, 4 dead, many missing
About three dozen people are missing in Dachhan area of Kishtwar after a Cloudburst hit the area . 4 dead bodies have been recovered so far. Rescue operation is going on. SDRF and Army has taken over the rescue operations.
Weather is cloudy in most places of J&K with thunderstorm and rain at several places . As per MET department prediction, intermittent rain is most likely to continue till 30th of July. Heavy to Very Rain is also possible at some places. People have been advised not to venture out on hilly and landslides prone areas.
Movement of traffic on J&K roads
TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR
- On 30-06-2021 Wednesday, there shall be no traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar NHW from either side in view of maintenance/repairing of the NHW.
- On 02-07-2021 Friday , there shall be no traffic movement on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road from either side in view of maintenance/repairing on Zoji la axis .

Tomorrow , subject to fair weather and better road condition, LMVs (Passenger) shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa . However, TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the traffic.
CUT OFF TIMING:
LMVs from Nagrota (Jammu) 0500 hrs to 1200 hrs,

No Vehicle shall be allowed before and after cut off timing.

HMVs shall be allowed from Zig (Qazigund) towards Jammu after assessing the traffic situation on NHW . TCU Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the HMVs.
SFs Convoy Movement
Security Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. They may ply from Srinagar towards Jammu after confirming the status of NHW.
MUGHAL ROAD
Subject to fair weather and better road condition only load carriers including fresh perishable, fruits, vegetables and empty truck/ tankers shall be allowed from Herpora (Shopian) at 0900 hrs upto 1400 hours towards Poonch. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut of timings. Moreover, no passenger vehicle or pedestrian shall be allowed on Mughal Road.
SSG ROAD
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, only one way traffic from Kargil towards Srinagar shall be allowed on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road from MInamarg at 0700 hrs. upto 1400 hrs. No Vehicle shall be allowed before & after cut off timing.
KISHTWAR-SINTHAN ROAD
Kishtwar- Sinthan road has been made operational between Kishtwar – Srinagar and vice-e-versa only for vehicles carrying patients for medical emergencies, subject to fair weather and road condition.

Polling for DDC elections underway in J&K
The first phase of DDC elections 2020 recorded voter percentage of 5.25 % till 9 AM across different constituencies spread over all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Large numbers of people have come out to cast their votes during the first phase of District Development Council Elections 2020. Long queues have been seen despite severe cold conditions in Kashmir Division and hilly areas of Jammu Division.
The historic elections being held for the first time for electing representatives to the District development Councils leading to local government has gone well with the people and they are coming out in large numbers. People are energized to exercise their right to Franchise.
As per the figures given by the office of State Election Commissioner, in Kashmir Division, Kupwara has recorded voting percentage of 2.34%, Bandipora 3.73%, Baramulla 1.51%, Ganderbal 2.56%, Srinagar 9.94%, Budgam 3.16%, Pulwama 0.64 %, Shopian 7.56%, Kulgam 5.13% and Anantnag 2.63% till 9.00 am.
Similarly, in Jammu division Kishtwar has recorded voting percentage of 0.05%, Doda 7.14%, Ramban 8.09%, Reasi 9.32%, Udhampur 5.62 %, Kathua 2.40%, Samba 14.55%, Jammu 10.14 %, Rajouri 9.80% and Poonch 5.25% till 9 am.
Ceasefire violation on LOC by Pak. 3 Pakistani soldiers killed in retaliation
Ceasefire violation continues by the hands of Pakistani forces on LOC. Sources say, three Pakistani soldiers were killed in Indian retaliation on the other side of the Line of Control after Pakistani soldiers resorted to unprovoked heavy firing in Kerni and Qasba Sector of Poonch district in J&K UT.
Srinagar Airports receive 32 domestic flights with 4,317 passengers aboard
On day 127 of resumption of routine domestic operations in Jammu and Kashmir, 32 domestic flights with 4,317 passengers on board today arrived at Jammu and Srinagar Airports.
A total of 1560 passengers aboard 12 regular commercial flights arrived at the Jammu Airport while 20 domestic flights with about 2757 passengers aboard landed at Srinagar Airport today.
Pertinently, Jammu Airport Authorities have received a total of 1,115 domestic flights with 105,284 passengers while Srinagar Airport Authorities have received 1,815 domestic flights with 2,49,401 passengers since 25th of May till date.
Till date the government has brought back about 3806 passengers from various countries to the Union Territory through special evacuation flights in the wake of global pandemic till date.
After arrival, all the passengers were tested for the COVID-19 at both the airports amid strict observance of all necessary preventive protocols.
The Government has made elaborate arrangements for the arrival, screening, sampling and proper transportation of the passengers to the quarantine centers taking special care of guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) prescribed by the Union Ministries of Civil Aviation and Health and Family Welfare.
Advisor Khan reviews Urs arrangements at Makhdoom Sahib (RA) Pays obeisance at Dastgeer Sahib (RA)
Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan, today paid obeisance at the shrine of Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom Kashmiri, popularly known as Makhdoom Sahib (RA) and also reviewed the arrangements being made for the Urs Mubarak commencing from Tuesday.
On the occasion, Advisor Khan prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir and wellbeing of the people.
The Advisor toured the Shrine premises and took a briefing from the officers and Shrine administrators about the arrangements being made for the Urs during which the devotees throng the premises from all parts of J&K for prayers.
He was also briefed about the ongoing developmental works in the Shrine aimed at improving the facilities for the devotees including construction of washrooms and lavatories.
Advisor Khan directed the officers to strictly follow the Standard Operating Protocols (SOP) during all activities in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Advisor inspected the newly constructed ablution centre (Wazu Khana) for women and also took stock of ongoing developmental works at the Shrine.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Khan stressed upon the officers to complete the infrastructure-related works in a time-bound manner. He also issued on the spot directions for beautification, landscaping and repairing of retaining wall (Kalai) of the Shrine surroundings.
He asked the concerned to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply during the Urs days besides directing them to ensure regular cleanliness drives to keep the premises clean.
The Advisor also inspected the Makhdoom Sahib (RA) Ropeway and directed the Cable Car Corporation Officials to accord priority to devotees and ensure hassle-free services.
Later, Advisor Khan visited the shrine of Peer Dastgeer Sahab (RA) at Khanyar and paid obeisance at the Ziyarat. He interacted with the devotees at the shrine and enquired about the amenities and arrangements.
The Advisor also interacted with the Shrine staff and impressed upon them to offer best possible assistance to the visitors and ensure proper upkeep of the shrine.
JK reports 824 new positive cases, 54267 recovered so far
The Government on Monday informed that 824 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 540 from Jammu division and 284 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 73014. Also 14 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 11 from Jammu division and 03 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 1408 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 831 from Jammu Division and 577 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 73014 positive cases, 17601 are Active Positive, 54267 have recovered and 1146 have died; 320 in Jammu division and 826 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 1581606 test results available, 1508592 samples have been tested as negative till September 28, 2020.
Till date 570333 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 15721 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 17601 in isolation and 51373 under home surveillance. Besides, 484492 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 14490 positive cases (including 105 cases reported today) with 2105 Active Positive, 12098 recovered (including 175 cases recovered today), 287 deaths; Baramulla has 4273 positive cases (including 26 cases reported today) with 1235 Active Positive, 2916 recovered (including 30 cases recovered today), 122 deaths; Pulwama reported 3885 positive cases (including 33 cases reported today) with 451 active positive cases, 3366 recovered (including 42 cases recovered today), 68 deaths; Kulgam has 2253 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 130 Active Positive, 2080 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today), 43 deaths; Shopian has 2021 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 198 Active Positive, 1791 recovered (including 02 cases reported today), 32 deaths; Anantnag district has 3492 positive cases (including 18 cases reported today) with 441 Active Positive, 2989 recovered (including 28 cases recovered today), 62 deaths; Budgam has 4791 positive cases (including 27 cases reported today) with 1045 Active Positive and 3665 recovered (including 98 cases recovered today), 81 deaths; Kupwara has 3539 positive cases (including 44 cases reported today) with 813 Active Positive, 2660 recovered (including 27 cases recovered today), 66 deaths; Bandipora has 3363 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 563 Active Positive, 2763 recovered (including 118 cases recovered today), 37 deaths and Ganderbal has 2844 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 459 active positive cases, 2357 recoveries (including 49 cases recovered today) and 28 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 12349 positive cases (including 337 cases reported today) with 3578 active positive cases, 8597 recoveries (including 530 cases recovered today), 174 deaths; Rajouri has 2565 positive cases (including 52 cases reported today) with 1268 active positive cases, 1267 recovered (including 40 cases recovered today), 30 deaths; Ramban has 1295 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 456 active positive, 830 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today), 09 deaths; Kathua has 2022 positive cases (including 37 cases reported today) with 538 Active positive, 1463 recovered (including 76 cases recovered today), 21 deaths; Udhampur has 2163 positive cases (including 38 cases reported today) with 484 active positive cases, 1664 recovered (including 07 cases recovered today), 15 deaths; Samba has 1694 positive cases (including 29 cases reported today) with 805 Active Positive, 869 recoveries, 20 deaths; Doda has 2159 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 1119 active positive cases, 1013 recoveries (including 79 cases recovered today), 27 deaths; Poonch has 1726 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 974 active positive, 740 recoveries (including 48 cases reported today), 12 deaths; Reasi has 930 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 379 active positive, 546 recoveries (including 14 cases reported today), and 05 deaths while Kishtwar has 1160 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 560 active positive cases and 593 recoveries (including 34 cases reported today) and 07 deaths.
According to the bulletin, of the total 73014 positive cases in J&K 8697 have been reported as travelers while 64317 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1306 COVID dedicated beds, 1170 Isolation beds with 885 vacant beds and 136 ICU beds where 50 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 2358 COVID dedicated beds, 2214 Isolation beds where 1686 beds are vacant and 144 ICU beds where 111 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 3664 COVID dedicated beds, 3384 Isolation beds with 2571 beds vacant and 280 ICU beds with 161 vacant beds in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing all necessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.
The government has also started free Tele-consultation general OPD services by Specialists/MBBS Doctors for the residents of J&K under National Tele-consultation Service. People can avail these services from Home by registering online on web portal https://esanjeevaniopd.in/. The services are available on Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. People can also download and install esanjeevani OPD app from google playstore.
Besides, 24×7 Rapid Antigen Testing facility for COVID-19 has been started outside the emergency of GMC Hospital Jammu .The facility will be very useful for the segregation of patients in emergency wing of GMC Jammu.
Meanwhile, a 24×7 COVID Control Room have been set up for redressal of the grievances related to COVID-19 positive patients admitted in the Associated Hospitals of Government Medical College, Jammu and Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The bulletin has informed the people that, the best way to protect themselves from COVID-19 is by maintaining physical distance of at least 2 meter from others, frequently cleaning hands with an alcohol based hand sanitizer or washing them with soap and water and following good respiratory etiquette and hygiene.
As a measure for social distancing in public places and workplaces wearing a face cover is compulsory.
The bulletin again explained that early detection of COVID-19 can prevent the spread of disease so we need to be responsible for the well-being of ourselves and everyone around us. “Not disclosing symptoms could put life of individuals and their families at risk. In case of symptoms like fever, cough and difficulty in breathing report early. Do not fear, call COVID-19 helpline numbers and seek medical advice”.
Advisory has further exhorted upon the people not to step out of home, unless absolutely necessary. “If you have to move out for unavoidable reasons, ensure that you wear a mask and practice social distancing, personal hygiene and frequent hand washing with soap and water.”

The bulletin has informed that the Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine, J&K is distributing AYUSH Medicines having immunity boosting, immuno-modulator, anti-oxidant, rejuvenator, anti-stress, metabolism regulator, anti-allergic, anti-pyretic, anti-tussive, bronchodilator, etc properties during the COVID-19 pandemic. The department so far has provided medicine to 9.65 lakh people that include various frontline workers, senior citizens, PRIs, police/paramilitary personals and general masses. Moreover, preventive measures and Yoga therapies are also being advised to the people to take care of lifestyle/mental disorders so that physical and mental health is ensured during this pandemic.
