To review the arrangements for Republic Day celebrations 2016 , District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Mr. G.N Balwan today convened a meeting of District and Sectoral Officers including Police, CISF, CRPF, Army and Municipal Committee.
The District Development Commissioner impressed upon the officers to make fool proof arrangements at the Chowgan ground Kishtwar , the venue of the main function where the VIP will unfurl the National Flag and will take salute at the march past. The students of educational institutions will also present colourful cultural programmes depicting patriotic theme.
The arrangements of security, sanitation, drinking water, medical aid, electricity and PAS at the venue were also reviewed in the meeting. He further emphasized for maintaining liaison between civil and police for smooth conduct of the function. All the officers were directed to ensure their full participation in the function. He further directed PHE and PDD department to keep uninterrupted water and power supply to the venue during the day.
