A meeting to discuss arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day 2016 was convened here under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Samba, Sheetal Nanda.
The DDC reviewed on spot preparations of the celebrations at Arazi Stadium Samba .It was informed that during the celebrations, various marching contingents drawn from police, Army, NCC, Ex-Serviceman, and School Students etc. shall be organized besides, cultural programme based on patriotic theme and prize distribution ceremony.
The preparations made by various committees like site/venue preparation committee, Hospitality & Protocol Committee, Prize Selection Committee, Beautification/Illumination Committee, Refreshment Committee were also reviewed.
The DDC directed all the officers to take self appraisal of their preparations so that best arrangements are made for the function and further discussed in detail the arrangements related to barricading, seating, sanitation, security & traffic, power, water, fire tenders etc. She also directed the committees concerned to make necessary and befitting arrangements for the gallantry award winners, Ex-Serviceman, prominent citizens and general public.
The DDC further directed municipal committee Samba to maintain sanitation at the venue and in the town during the celebrations. The officials were again asked to nominate their best employee so that they could be rewarded at the function.
Among others ADC Samba Pawn Sharma,ACR Samba Sonu Pargal and the District Heads of various departments were present in the meeting.
