Rs.418.67 crore released for flood damaged houses

The State Government has released Rs. 418.67 crore for electronic disbursement to owners of flood damaged houses, under the Prime Minister’s Development Plan-2015 (PMDP), as per following details:

Srinagar district Rs. 234.16 crore; Samba district Rs.2.35 crore; Ganderbal district Rs.0.81 crore; Budgam district Rs.39.12 crore; Pulwama district Rs.28.87 crore; Anantnag district Rs. 48.94 crore; Bandipora district Rs.17.16 crore; Baramulla district Rs.17.61 crore; Rajouri district Rs. 22.63 crore; Udhampur district Rs. 6.97 crore; Ramban district Rs.7.53 crore; Kishtwar district Rs.2.38 crore; Doda district Rs.3.03 crore; Shopian district Rs. 7.27 crore; Kupwara district Rs.0.20 crore; and Kulgam district Rs.19.08 crore.

The financial assistance is being transferred directly by the respective Deputy Commissioners into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The Raj Bhawan spokesperson recalled that in the State Administrative Council meeting chaired by Governor on 25-02-2016 it had been decided to grant financial assistance under the Prime Minister’s Development Plan-2015 at the scale of Rs.2.50 lac for fully damaged pucca house, Rs.1.25 lac for severely damaged pucca house, Rs.1.00 lac for fully damaged kacha house, Rs.0.50 lac for severely damaged kacha house, Rs.0.20 lac for partially damaged pucca house and Rs.0.10 lac for partially damaged kacha house. The Governor has directed that the entire amount of Rs.418.67 crore must be transferred to beneficiaries within 7 days.
