Like other parts of the country the trade union bodies held protest rallies in various parts of the state . one such rally was organized at Srinagar under the aegis of CITU ( centre for Indian trade union) . hundreds of workers assembled at sher-kashmir park where senior leader of CPIM Mohd yiusuf Tarigami and some other leaders addressed the workers . addressing the workers the leaders alleged that the present Govts at the centre and state have been ignoring the working class forcing them to take to streets Nationwide. The workers took out a protest march in the city and demanded regularisation of daily waged workers and causal labourers .
