Police has arrested two persons allegedly involved in outraging the modesty of a girl in Pulwama district. Police spokesman said that on August 11 two persons namely Farooq Ahmad Shah son of Ghulam Ahmad shah and Danish @ Gasha son of Mohammad Ayoub Shah both residents of village Adoora in Shahoora area had allegedly abducted a girl when she was on way to school.“Acting swiftly on the basis of complaint filed by the parents of the girl we raided the house of Farooq Ahmad Shah against whom the complaint was made at Lassipora Police post on the same day,” said division officer Altaf Ahmad.He said that they have also seized the vehicle bearing number JK13C-7877 from these persons. He said an FIR No. 245/2015 has been registered at police post Lassipora and further enquiry was going on. The girl said that she was allegedly abducted by the said persons and taken to the house of Farooq Ahmad, accused in the case who tried to outrage her modesty but she jumped through the window and fled from the spot. She added that she got hurt while escaping from these two and cried for help. “Soon many people gathered around and took me home after which we went to police station,” said the girl. Meanwhile, local people have asked the police to act fast against the culprits so that they can become an example and prove deterrence for other people to get involved in such crimes.
