World student day organized by Pahal, Speaker pays rich tributes to Kalam

Paying rich tribute to Bharat Ratan Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam on the occasion of World Student Day coinciding with his birth anniversary at a function organized here today, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta remembered the great soul as a man with modesty, simple thinking who has set an example of innovation in the thought process for decades.

Highlighting the inspirational quotes of the Kalam, at the function organized by Pahal, a social organization, on Pahal Shastra Shakti Samman-2015, the speaker said that the words of this great soul are very popular amongst youngsters who dream of reaching heights in life.

Vice Chancellor Central University of Jammu Prof. Ashok Aima was also present on the occasion.

Gupta said that the student community of India is highly motivated with Kalam’s many speeches and interactions. He   said that if you really want to imitate Kalam then everyone has to perform his duty diligently. He appreciated the efforts of the Pahal for organizing such events.

In the function,  about  56 Principals of various colleges who had  participated in the recently concluded  event “Display Your Talent” organized by the University of Jammu  and the Heads of the various departments of Jammu University were welcomed and felicitated. The winners of Display your Talent were honored with” Pahal Shatra Shakti Samman 2015”.

Winners of  Ashok Sodhi photography competition recently organized by the Jammu Press Club and the three times Gold Medal winner in National Roller Skating,  Chandeep Singh were also honoured with Pahal Yuva Gourav Samman on the occasion.

The students of GCW Gandhi Nagar, GCW Parade, artists of Department of Information and Public Relations and the children of Pahal Family enthrall the audience with their colorful performance.

In the function, President Chamber of Commerce & Industry Rakesh Gupta, Chairman Pahal Deepak Aggarwal besides representatives of Kajaria Tiles Rajesh Aggarwal, Director Futurz Study Center Kunal and other prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
