The tourism department will soon impart training for skill up gradation of the youth of J&K . This was disclosed by Secretary Tourism, Farooq Ahmed Shah in a meeting with the officials of IHM Srinagar ,food craft institute leh and food craft institute Jammu .Farooq Ahmed Shah said that this initiative is aimed in the direction of making J&K state a tourist friendly state in all respects .The Secretary tourism while giving details about the initiative added that IHM institute of hotel management Srinagar ,food and craft institutes of Jammu and leh will collaborate to give training for chefs ,waiters and attendants. Also the people related to tourism trade will be given training in a phased manner for handling the tourists who come from different parts of the world and the country .The drivers are important human resource who remain in close contact with the tourists and a seven days draining module will be developed to teach them soft skills and behaviour modelling in the said institutes so that they communicate well with the guests and visitors who visit our state as pilgrims ,adventure lovers ,sightseeing visitors ,golfers and conference delegates .These efforts and initiatives are meant for making J&K as one of the best tourism destination in the country which is the dream of visionary chief minister of J&K, he added.
